CONTROL VS NO CONTROL
2019-2021

During the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the realization dawned upon us that we cannot control everything; sometimes, surrendering becomes inevitable. Paradoxically, amidst this sense of surrender, there emerged a heightened urge to exert control over our surroundings. It was during the initial lockdown period that I embarked on a series of painting experiments. In this series, I explored painting techniques that embodied the essence of surrender, juxtaposed with deliberate and controlled actions. The juxtaposition of these contrasting elements mirrored the complexities of our human experience during times of uncertainty. Through this artistic exploration, I sought to capture the delicate balance between surrender and control, offering a reflection on the nuances of our responses to the unpredictable nature of life.
