On Oceans is an artistic research project grounded in long-term, embodied fieldwork in the Gulf region, including extended periods of snorkeling as a method of immersion and observation. Combining video, painting, and interviews, the project explores how the ocean is not only experienced and imagined but also continuously shaped through human practices, infrastructures, and ecological interdependencies. It approaches the sea as a culturally mediated and politically charged space, where sensory experience, environmental change, and global dynamics intersect.
